Chinese Tourists Arrested in Jeju for Attacking Restaurant Owner

"The tourists — six men and two women — got into a brawl at a restaurant on the night of Sept. 9 after they were asked not to consume alcohol they brought from outside."

Police in South Korea’s Jeju Island have arrested eight Chinese tourists on charges of assaulting four people, including a female restaurant owner, in the popular resort destination.

According to South Korean media, the tourists — six men and two women — got into a brawl at a restaurant on the night of Sept. 9 after they were asked not to consume alcohol they brought from outside.

Angered at being barred from drinking the alcohol they carried, the visitors decided to leave the restaurant.

The restaurant owner then asked the tourists to pay for the food that they ordered, as the dishes had already been laid out on the table.

This led the tourists to fly into a rage and attack the woman, a 53-year-old surnamed Ahn.

Korea Times cited police as saying that the Chinese kicked the restaurant owner in the stomach and also tried to hit her with a bottle of alcohol.

Meanwhile, the group also assaulted three others, including Ahn’s son, who were trying to stop the attack.

涉圍毆打當地一間餐廳的老闆娘，導致對方腦出血入院，事件中另有3人受傷。據悉事發時雙方因在店內享用自攜酒水發生爭執，《環球時報》報道，被毆的老闆娘亦是中國公民。涉事8名中國遊客被韓國警方將帶走調查，其中3人已經獲釋，但被限制出境，警方正向檢察院尋求起訴意見。
韓國《朝鮮日報》報道，案發地點是濟州連洞中心街道上一家餐廳，上周五（本月9日）晚上10時許，8名來自中國南京的遊客涉嫌毆打餐廳60歲姓安老闆娘，致其倒地腦出血，而老闆娘的姓許兒子及另外2名勸阻的顧客亦被打傷，其中姓鄭顧客被毆至眼窩骨折。

韓國警方表示，其中一名涉事遊客姓陳，他們一行8人在餐廳點餐後，打算拿出自帶的啤酒和燒酒喝，被老闆娘及其子勸阻。陳某等人於是離開餐館，但當時飯菜已上桌，故老闆娘要求他們付錢。各遊客拒絕付帳，並用腳踢老闆娘，還用裝著燒酒瓶的塑膠袋毆打其面，令她額頭損傷，摔倒後頭部撞地致腦出血。

報國媒體報道，案發現場閉路電視影片顯示，當時南京遊客用酒樽砸向老闆娘的頭部，令她直接後仰倒地。按照韓國法律，此行為乃「集團暴力活動」，案情嚴重。

中國駐濟州總領事館向《環球時報》表示，受傷的老闆娘來自東北朝鮮族，涉事雙方都是中國公民。當地警方事後將8名遊客帶走調查，其中3人於昨日獲釋，其後到中國總領館求助。使館建議雙方和解，並介紹律師，以防和解失敗，案件需要進入司法程序。隨後3人離館，至今沒有再現身。

總領事館表示，韓國警方尚未公布調查結果，如有結果，韓方會向中方發送正式公文。被問到此事獲解決前，涉事中國遊客是否無法出境，總領館稱要視乎韓國法院和檢察官的判決。

事件在韓國網絡發酵，網民紛紛傳閱案發影片。有韓國網民在濟州報章網站留言，直斥濟州政府為吸納中國資本而威脅當地安全，又指中國帶來大量垃圾，令濟州成為「中狗的地方」，要求韓國政府取消對中國的免簽證。

Menurut media Korea Selatan, para turis - enam pria dan dua wanita - mengalami perkelahian di sebuah restoran setelah mereka diminta untuk tidak mengkonsumsi alkohol yang mereka bawa dari luar.

Marah karena dilarang minum alkohol yang mereka bawa, para pengunjung memutuskan untuk meninggalkan restoran.

Pemilik restoran kemudian meminta para turis untuk membayar makanan yang mereka pesan, karena piringnya sudah ditata di atas meja.

Hal ini menyebabkan para wisatawan mengamuk dan menyerang wanita tersebut, seorang pria berusia 53 tahun bernama Ahn.

Korea Times mengutip polisi yang mengatakan bahwa orang China menendang pemilik restoran di perut dan juga mencoba memukulnya dengan sebotol alkohol.

Sementara itu, kelompok tersebut juga menyerang tiga orang lainnya, termasuk putra Ahn, yang berusaha menghentikan serangan tersebut.
